The president of the Galerie Lumiére in Seoul, South Korea supported negotiations for the purchase of the Bröhan Collection by the city of Seoul. As a result, the mayor of Seoul Oh-Se Hon travelled to Berlin with a delegation in order to negotiate the sale of the collection with Bröhan. After visiting the Jewish Museum, the delegation drove to Bröhan’s Charlottenburg office where Bröhan introduced his collection in a presentation. Negotiations lasted for more than a year and failed due to budgetary constraints.
