Jiang Xu
The Chinese artist is the President of the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou. Already at the start of the era of the reforms by Deng Xiaoping from 1978 onwards, the Chinese University of the Arts in Zhejiang started importing modern art from Europe relatively early on and promoted the artistic exchange with the West. Hence Xu was introduced to other art concepts and styles. From 1988 onwards, Xu studied at the University for Fine Arts in Hamburg.
